Apple Pay is Apple’s mobile payment service, which lets iPhone 6, 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, iPhone SE, 7 and 7 Plus owners use their phones to pay for goods and services both in stores and within apps.
Apple Pay also works with the Apple Watch, which has a built-in NFC chip. The process for using your watch to pay is the same as with an iPhone.
Apple Pay can be used anywhere that accepts contactless payments. In the US this includes McDonald’s, Subway, Walgreens, and Duane Reade. In the UK you can use it at Boots, Costa Coffee, Marks & Spencer and the London Underground.
In the UK some banks charge extra fees when you use Apple Pay with a credit card (see our full guide on Apple Pay UK).
